Who we are
I-Fisk is a unique association of different cultures from all corners of the world, where persons with foreign background meet to spend time with each other and exchange experiences in Swedish.
Among us are representatives from many cultures, most political parties and
religions. |
What we do
Concurrent - as we point out the importance of Swedish for foreigners – we also have a cultural political assignment to show how these foreigners are an asset for the Finno-Swedish minority. We are often asked to participate in media and press when questions are raised about foreigners. This is an important political and cultural task, and therefore I-Fisk is trying to avoid personal attitudes and instead act for objective opinions that can comprise to many more. |
We have activity in the Helsingfors (Helsinki) region, in Åbo (Turku) and western Nyland (Uusimaa). We gather through common interest circles around culture, sport, language, society or just to small talk.
Our network
Much of our communication is placed over the Internet. Our network comprises 250 email addresses in Finland and abroad. The contacts can for example be used to invite each other to happenings or to find a matching interest
circle. |
To join
If you have a vigilant and intelligent attitude towards language- and cultural questions, we are the right forum for you to say: “Hej jag finns”, (“Hello, I exist”)”. I-Fisk is well conversant with the Finno-Swedish duck pond. With us no one needs to be frightened even by the largest fish. The criteria for membership do not involve a permanent address in Finland. |
I-Fisk-products
I-Fisk is light, healthy and nourishing, an extremely good source of vitamins. I-Fisk contains much laughter, culture and sports, which all are good for the heart. I-Fisk seldom contains Finnish or English. |
